If you’re aged 16 – 19 and interested in learning the art of filmmaking, Discovery Film School Dundee wants to hear from you.

“It's a great opportunity for young filmmakers to come together and meet like-minded people. Despite the fact we are all teenagers, the staff treated us like professionals and were very supportive towards us and gave up a lot of their time in order for us to work when need be.”

Tara Glenn, DFSD 2014 participant

Open to film enthusiasts aged 16 to 19, the course offers participants the chance to work with professional artists to learn the filmmaking process, from generating ideas right through to shooting, editing and screening your own finished film at DCA. Created in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI), the Film School offers a hands-on opportunity to develop practical knowledge and skills. Some of the films produced by previous groups have gone on to be nominated for national awards, and participants have been invited to join specialist skills development courses around the UK.
